Another of my friend’s Spliced Strategies X-Com runs. He has a strange sense of humor, but he makes me giggle.
Well… I have to admit that I wasn’t expecting my WIP of this piece to get the attention that it did. That being said, I almost sincerely doubt that this one (the finished-as-far-as-it’s-likely-ever-going-to-be version) will get even half the attention.
I really wanted to add a background to this… I did. But I suck at backgrounds, and the time it took me just to add the shading… well, the more I stare at this piece, the more problems I find with it, and I can’t look at it anymore because I see nothing but flaws, so here you are. Penny, in all her glowy-green glory.
I like that tumblr allows sharing so easily, but I have to admit that one of the things that I find disappointing about tumblr is that, for all the likes and reblogs… no one ever leaves comments.
Youtube video of a good friend of mine playing X-Com. He’s not as hardcore as some others out there, and he’s a dork, but he’s an entertaining dork, and I love the guy. He’s a good friend. He’s also modified the naming file on his own to use monikers of personal friends of ours, just to make the game more interesting. He’s got a few other videos out there (this is not the first one, but it’s the first of this series).
If you like X-Com (which I do) you might like this.
If you have an electric toothbrush, the next time you brush your teeth, take a good look at a digital alarm clock while you do so. It’s kinda whack.
WIP of a fanart of Penny from RWBY. I don’t usually post WIP’s but… I just love how this turned out, and knowing me, it’s not gonna get finished for another week.
Base colors, no shading. No background. I’m… torn with how I want to shade this, because my usual method is too simple, and I just love how this came out that I want to do something more than that, but I have not the skills. Or the patience.
I guess I need to look up some tutorials.
I also want a decent background, but… that’s even MORE difficult for me. Sigh.
Pondermod here. Last Christmas, I got a gift card to Amazon, that until yesterday went largely unused. While just peaking through Amazon to see what tickled my fancy…I bought a Fluttershy plush.
She should be here in three to five days.
I’m thinking of using her as the avatar for this blog,…
The questions is… does she come with a chicken on her head?
As you can plainly see, I didn’t take as much time with this one, as evidenced by the broken lineart. I want to be a little faster than I am, so I guess I got a little impatient with this one.
Still, I liked it well enough to give it a somewhat decent coloring job. So have Crash Man, looking like he doesn’t quite like you right now.
Yup, Another Mega Man piece. This is Enker, if you don’t recognize him. One of the Mega Man Killers, the first, in fact, from the Game Boy Mega Man games.
This one was a bit tricky to color, mostly because my general lack of knowledge of how lighting works makes coloring shiny things difficult for me, and he is very shiny. Still, I consider it more or less finished.
Needed to mindlessly color something today. I’m not really happy with it but the whole thing felt like good practice.
Jimmy, I love your style! It’s just too cute!
Looks like Cut Man’s about to be used as a projectile… or meet the concrete in a very forceful manner.
I actually drew this long ago, but found it amongst some old pictures, and considered it worthy enough to be scanned and colored. It’s Mega Man showing Cut Man his Rush Power Adaptor from Mega Man 6. My personal favorite of the Rush Armors, simply because of it’s, well, power. Rock’s hands are enlarged, because that’s what it always seemed like what happened with use of this mechanic.
